Car description

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTC – Restomod Signature

The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTC is among the rarest open derivatives of the Giulia series and, in its original form, embodies the elegant lightness of Italian coachbuilding of the 1960s. Created by Touring of Milan, this model combines the clear lines of the Giulia Sprint Coupé with the exclusivity of an open Gran Turismo. With a production of only around one thousand examples, the GTC continues to hold a განსაკუთრhrte position within Alfa Romeo’s history.

The vehicle presented here interprets this rare icon in a way that goes far beyond a traditional restoration.

At its foundation lies a German-delivered Alfa Romeo GTC, taken off the road as early as 1979 and preserved from active use for decades. This exceptional history provides the basis for a reconstruction that does not merely conserve, but deliberately reimagines. Within our Signature program, a car is being created that respects the original form while redefining it in carefully considered details.

During the process, the bodywork was not only comprehensively restored, but subtly refined in its proportions. The rear wheel arches have been harmonized with the front, resulting in a more balanced and tension-filled silhouette. This approach is complemented by a GTA-inspired locking system, evoking a sense of motorsport not only technically, but also in its visual presence. The car is finished in its original delivery color, Rosso, preserving its historical identity despite its extensive evolution.

Beneath its classic exterior lies a thoroughly re-engineered technical concept. At its heart is an Alfa Romeo Twin Spark engine with carburetors, delivering approximately 190 horsepower. In combination with the fully rebuilt 5-speed gearbox, this results in a drivetrain that pairs the lightness of the body with confident, contemporary performance. Suspension and braking systems are correspondingly upgraded to deliver a precise and modern driving experience, while retaining the unmistakable Alfa Romeo character.

The interior does not follow a predefined specification, but is created in close dialogue with its future owner. Materials, colors and finishes remain intentionally open, allowing for a highly individual configuration. A newly crafted black soft top has already been completed, adding a timeless and elegant component to the car.

This GTC is not conceived as a restored classic, but as a curated reinterpretation. A vehicle that carries the design language of the 1960s, yet has been developed with the technical and conceptual precision of the present day. Its bespoke creation makes this automobile a true one-off in the purest sense.

This is not simply a classic Alfa Romeo, but a promise. An idea of freedom, of elegance, of that indescribable Italian way of life that cannot be explained — only experienced. An Alfa Romeo as it may always have been intended: sensual, passionate, timeless. Not a car for the moment, but for memories that endure.

Note

A bespoke photo book documents all restoration work in full detail and highlights the quality of the work carried out.

In addition, selected stages of the work as well as insights into our manufactory processes can be followed via our YouTube channel
“TV Scuderia Sportiva Colonia”.

Classic automobiles that are currently within our manufactory or have passed through it are rebuilt or comprehensively reworked both technically and aesthetically, following our holistic approach. All relevant components – from drivetrain and suspension to functionality, detail and overall character – as well as the body structure itself, are systematically assessed, professionally restored or, where necessary, newly rebuilt, and precisely aligned.

For automobiles originating from our manufactory, we provide a 12-month warranty, subject to all service and maintenance work being carried out by us or by one of our authorized partners.

Our automobiles are typically presented at our Classic Center in Kirchen/Sieg, where we showcase a curated selection of exceptional classic cars.

Technical development, restoration and refinement take place at our facility in Dortmund – the origin of Scuderia Sportiva. Here, within a dedicated manufactory environment, we carry out both original restorations and individually developed automobiles at the highest level.

The Scuderia Sportiva Group brings together development, manufactory, service and sales within a holistic approach, with a particular focus on classic Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari as well as BMW coupés.

Transport within Europe is carried out in enclosed trailers. Worldwide delivery is arranged through experienced partners in international vehicle logistics.
