Car description

The Story of the Alfa Romeo Giulia – The Birth of a Legend

In 1962, she made her debut: angular, clear-cut, uncompromisingly beautiful. The Alfa Romeo Giulia. A sedan that has not only captivated the hearts of design lovers but also those of its drivers – and continues to do so to this day.

Its bodywork radiates Italian elegance, its lines whisper of speed, and its heart beats for the road. A notchback sedan with space for the family – and yet so sporty, it was decades ahead of its time.

Thanks to the brilliantly conceived design by Giuseppe Scarnati, later Alfa Romeo's chief designer, the Giulia appears both compact and spacious. Its proportions offer excellent visibility, an airy sense of space – and a revolutionary drag coefficient of just 0.34 cW for its time.

The Giulia was never just a car. It was a statement. In Italy, it was part of street culture like espresso at the bar. And while German crime series still featured leisurely BMWs and Beetles, the Carabinieri chased criminals in their blue-and-white Giulias – with flashing lights, sirens, and pounding hearts included. They didn't just pursue crooks; they sped through the daydreams of earnest Romeos – on both sides of the Alps.

What made the Giulia so desirable was its rare ability to unite opposites: sportiness and everyday usability, elegance and rebellion. A lightweight chassis, powerful engines – Alfa Romeo had redefined the everyday sports car.

And even as new competitors with coupé-like characteristics emerged, the Giulia held its own impressively – with four full-size doors, a generous trunk, and that unmistakable Italian charm. The 105/115 series was produced until 1978 – with a proud total of 572,646 units.

The New Alfa Romeo Giulia V6 – The Birth of a Road Legend

It began with a body. A 1971 Giulia Super. From sunny Italy, acquired from a Monegasque collector. Four doors, gracefully aged paintwork, the echo of decades past in nearly rust-free steel. But beneath the patina: character. Substance. History.

The Giulia was brought to Scuderia Sportiva Servizio – then still known as the Alfa Classic Center. There began a process that wasn’t simply restoration, but transformation. From an idea emerged a project. From a project, a vision.

The bodywork was meticulously restored – not just to a “good” level, but to concours standard. Space was created in the wheel arches for 7.5x17 inch wheels without widening the body externally. The underbody and all longitudinal supports were reinforced. The interior was reimagined, featuring the legendary GTA dashboard – unique and uncompromising.

But that was just the beginning.

Into the perfectly prepared chassis, the heart was transplanted: the Busso V6 with 3.0 liters of displacement and 24 valves. An engine that delivers not just power, but emotion. Up to 270 hp, a sound that gets under your skin, and a rev-happiness rarely found in today’s engines – with true "mucho macho" performance.

Yes, there are other conversions – often with carbon parts, barely street-legal, built for showrooms, not for twisty roads. But this is something different. Something real. This Giulia is uncompromising – and still TÜV-compliant. Every modification is documented, tested, and approved. And despite the V6, despite the power, despite the modern technology: the historic registration is preserved. Because this isn’t about playing around. This is serious – a contemporary take on tuning.

An Alfa as Unique as Its Future Owner

The engineering is complete. The foundation is flawless. Now begins the final step – and that belongs to the new owner. Color, interior, suspension, finishing touches: entirely according to your wishes. Whether Racing Green with cognac leather or Azzurro Chiaro with black fabric, “Bianco” with red interior – this Giulia will be a tailor-made one-off.

A statement on wheels. A true Alfa Romeo – reimagined.

Built by people who live and breathe Alfa. For people who want more than just a classic. Who don’t just collect, but want to drive. Who seek performance – and stand for something while doing it.

Conclusion

This Giulia is more than a conversion. It’s a statement. What’s being created here is no off-the-shelf project. It’s a symbiosis of classic Alfa romance and radical engineering. Built to the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and drivability. With street approval. Without compromise. For our Scuderia Sportiva Group, this isn’t a trend. It’s a conviction. Restomod – in perfection.

Ready for the incredible, for something few have dared to dream of? Then it’s time for this unique Giulia V6.
