Car description
Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior Restomod Twin Spark
La Meccanica delle Emozioni
This project is a tribute.
A tribute to the lightness of driving, to Italian engineering, and to the spirit of 1960s motorsport.
The Foundation
A true raw diamond.
A German-delivered, completely unwelded, unrestored, and rust-free Alfa Romeo GT Junior 1300, retaining approximately 90% of its original paint. One of the highly sought-after late “step-front” (Kantenhaube) models.
This particular car was part of the renowned CT Alfa Romeo Collection in Monaco for many years and has been carefully maintained and optimized by the respected Alfa Classic Center (now Scuderia Sportiva Servizio).
Work carried out by Alfa Classic Center (ACC), Dortmund:
- ACC suspension with Koni red dampers
- Reinforced rear trailing arms with upgraded bushings
- Installation of tinted glass all around
- Full cavity sealing of the body
- Paint and interior treated and refined with Swissvax
The original matching engine is removed, preserved, and can be supplied upon request.
Total mileage to date: only 65,797 km.
The interior remains completely original, finished in black leatherette. In addition to the classic instrumentation, a Veglia oil temperature gauge has been installed.
The vehicle currently holds deregistered Monaco registration papers. Copies of the original German registration documents are available, making re-registration in Germany or France straightforward.
The Vision
Over the years, we have successfully developed multiple Alfa Romeo “step-front” cars in line with our RESTOMOD philosophy.
The goal of this project is to engineer a Twin Spark engine delivering significantly increased performance, with a strong emphasis on improved torque at lower revs — enhancing everyday usability without compromising the car’s character.
The following enhancements have been implemented:
- Complete overhaul and optimization of an Alfa Romeo Nord 2.0-liter engine block
- Balanced connecting rods
- Custom-forged pistons
- Newly manufactured, slightly enlarged cylinder liners
- Integration of a fully rebuilt and optimized 2.0-liter Twin Spark cylinder head
- Ported and refined intake and exhaust channels
- New valves and valve guides
- New torque-optimized sport camshafts
- Dual 45mm Weber carburetors with performance air filter system
- Lightweight flywheel
- Rebuilt 5-speed sports gearbox
- 2.0-liter rear axle
- Handcrafted stainless steel exhaust system with tubular headers
Bodywork
The body is in exceptional, completely unwelded condition and retains approximately 90% of its original paint. It has been carefully treated with Swissvax and fully cavity-sealed.
There are no signs of rust or corrosion — a truly remarkable original condition.
Our approach is to preserve this outstanding substance as much as possible. Optionally, the bumpers can be removed and the mounting points closed to achieve a purist GTA-style appearance.
Summary
This Alfa is not just a car — it is an experience.
It does not appeal to reason, but directly to the heart.
Not a museum piece, but a moving statement. A car that dances lightly through corners — built for style, passion, and Italian joie de vivre on four wheels.
This “step-front” Alfa embodies not only the essence of Dolce Vita, but also timeless coupé design combined with an impressive and truly distinctive performance.
Conclusion
A design icon in a tailored suit — with the heart of a racing machine.
Not a car for purists, but for connoisseurs.
For Alfisti who seek the exceptional — and understand that character is not measured in horsepower, but in goosebumps.
