Car description
History of the Alfa Romeo Spider "Coda Tronca"
The Alfa Romeo Spider was first introduced in 1966. The 2nd series "coda tronca" was built almost unchanged from 1969 - 1983 and is still considered a cult convertible. The sonorous 4-cylinder double camshaft engine, which is sublime beyond any doubt, still makes hearts beat faster today. The perfect design comes from the house of Pininfarina and is considered a great hit. It was built in the versions 1300, 1600, 1750 and for the first time in the Voda Tronca also with a 2 liter engine. This made the top version of the Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 a sporty one. The magazine 'Auto Motor und Sport' accelerated it from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and reached a top speed of 194.6 km/h.
It is and remains one of the most beautiful and puristic convertibles ever built.
History of the Spider offered here
Owned by the last owner for almost 20 years, always in the care of the legendary Alfa Classic Center (ACC) in Dortmund, this Alfa Romeo 2.0 Spider is still in very good condition today. Rust is not an issue, the paintwork is in very good condition, the interior has a touch of patina, the technology has just been serviced. It is noteworthy that this Alfa Romeo was converted to the shapely 78 version more than 20 years ago - with great attention to detail - (center console, plexi hoods, headlight covers, wind deflector). 14" inch drop center rims round off the splendid visual appearance.
The history can be traced back to 1990. This Alfa Romeo currently has German registration papers including a registration certificate as a classic car.
