Car description
History of the Lancia Fulvia
In 1965, the Lancia Fulvia was presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. Lancia's chief designer Pietro Castagnero created his masterpiece with this design; the narrow roof pillars are reminiscent of the straps of an evening gown and are partly responsible for excellent all-round visibility. The angular, concave rear end gives the Fulvia its very special and unique character. The Cd value was measured at a very low 0.39. The very detailed V-engine is unusual, with hemispherical combustion chambers, V-shaped valves and the use of expensive aluminium for the cylinder head and gearbox housing. The chassis and braking system were typical of Lancia and far ahead of the automotive competition, with AMS tester Manfred Jantke attesting to the car's ‘refined character and subliminal sportiness. We see the Lancia coupé as an insider tip for Germany's car individualists’. The suspension is so finely tuned that the Lancia is neutral through bends and only understeers slightly at the limit.
Between 1965 and 1976, almost 140,000 Lancia Fulvia cars were built in various versions. In 1972, Lancia even won the World Rally Championship with the Fulvia.
Description of the Lancia Fulvia 1.2 -SSC593 offered here
We can justifiably claim that the Lancia Fulvia 1.2 offered here is a very special one and probably one of the best on the market. It originates from a fine spirit, an aesthete and collector of Italian vehicles of the 60s and 70s. About 15 years ago, he had the Fulvia completely restored and modernized by a Lancia specialist without sparing any expense or effort. Not only was the entire body stripped of paint and repainted in its original color, but the technology was also overhauled, including the chassis and brake system. The Lancia 1.3 liter engine from Series 2 was also installed. In conjunction with a performance-enhancing Weber 40 twin carburetor system with sports filters, over 100 hp is now available. In 2015, the Alfa Classic Center took over the service and installed a high-performance radiator, modified the thermostat control and replaced the clutch. The seats were upholstered in Conolly (!) leather. The investments made by the last owner amounted to over € 125,000 (!!) Due to the low mileage since the restoration, the overall condition of this vehicle can be compared with a year-old car. Technically, this Fulvia is absolutely on point. The vehicle was last registered on the Cote d' Azur
