As the successor to the legendary Aurelia, Lancia presented the Flaminia in Geneva in 1957 with an advanced transaxle concept. The Flaminia also quickly featured servo-assisted disc brakes all round and the excellent De Dion rear axle. Lancia allowed itself the luxury of offering various coupé versions by Pininfarina, Carrozzeria Touring and Zagato for the two-door variants. The touring version with its "Superleggera" aluminum body is reminiscent of the Maserati 3500. The Lancia Touring GT (=Gran Turismo) was aimed at the wealthy middle class, for whom a comparable Maserati or Ferrari GT was simply too expensive. Due to its aluminum cladding, the Touring Flaminia is very light (1350 kg curb weight) and achieved very astonishing values at the time. The version with 3 carburetors and the high-revving 2.5 liter engine with 140 hp is particularly popular. This engine in conjunction with a very harmonious 5-speed gearbox has an easy time with this Lancia. Auto, Motor und Sport was enthusiastic about the Lancia Touring GT during a test in 1960 and counted it among the best standard sports cars. A total of only 863 pieces were made from the first series. built.
History of this Lancia Flaminia Touring 2.5 3C GT
We offer you the unique opportunity to acquire an almost untouched Lancia Flaminia Touring 3C GT 2.5 Litri.
This Flaminia was manufactured in Milan by Carrozzeria Touring in 1962 and remained in Milan until 2015 in only one hand. A renowned German collector discovered this vehicle in Italy in 2015 and imported it to Germany. There he prepared this Lancia lovingly, without hectic and with great attention to detail for the German registration. His focus was on preserving the originality. Favored by the fact that this collector was able to acquire another "dream vehicle", Scuderia Sportiva Colonia had the opportunity to purchase this noble coupé directly from him. Vehicles that have largely retained their original paintwork are extremely rare. The interior is also in its authentic original condition, conscientiously preserved by the leather center. Of course, the engine, gearbox and differential are "matching". Based on the measured compression image and the wear and tear of the important units, we believe the mileage of almost 44,000 to be real.
This GT undoubtedly impresses with the following charms: Exterior color: "grigio cascine" largely still in the original paintwork, leather seats, roof lining, carpet, floor mats, trunk mats completely original. Original and complete tool kit with bag, Lancia jack set, documents and of course the keys with the original key fob. More is simply not possible. This vehicle has never been restored, but was fortunate to have been in expert and prospective hands throughout its life. A fascinating automobile, a fascinating history, a fascinating state of preservation.
This Lancia currently has the Italian registration documents: certificato di proprietà, carta di circolazione, certificato cronologico, as well as extract from the Pubblico Registro Automobilistico (PRA) di Milano. We are happy to help the future owner to register this Flaminia in Germany. This Lancia Flaminia Touring in the coveted 3 carburettor version is one of the most elegant coupés of the 1960s. A seductress that awakens our senses of "dolce far niente".
