History Fiat 2400 Dino Coupé

The Fiat Dino is a sports coupe presented by Fiat in 1966 to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the company's founder, Giovanni Agnelli. It replaced the Fiat 2300 Coupé and was built in 2 variants, as a Coupé designed by Bertone and as a Spider designed by Pininfarina. The special thing about the 2400 Dino from Fiat is that for the first and last time an engine developed and built by Ferrari was installed in a standard Fiat. This Ferrari engine was also used in the Ferrari 246 and the Lancia Stratos. Furthermore, this Fiat was equipped with fine sporty paraphernalia, such as a 5-speed gearbox from ZF, an excellent sporty tuned chassis, a very good brake system with disc brakes all around, and a limited slip differential. The interior is luxurious and designed in a cheeky mix of colors from the 1970s. The Dino represents a perfect blend of sportiness and comfort. A fantastic 2+2 coupe made by Fiat. Unfortunately, in the short production time, only 2398 buyers (Dino 2400 Coupé) were found, despite good facilities, very respectable test results and its undisputed sporting talents. Probably not enough for a company like Fiat, which is why production was stopped in 1972 without presenting a successor. Surprising, since this Fiat was included in the elite club of 200 km/h cars in 1970.

Vita of the Fiat 2400 DINO offered here

This vehicle was imported from Sweden by Scuderia Sportiva Colonia. Apparently it is a Swedish first registration and we suspect only four previous owners. In 2015, Scuderia Sportiva Colonia discovered and imported this Fiat in Sweden. The car was a little 'crunchy', repainted red and the interior was in a sorry state. Only the engine and transmission were amazingly good in one. The Scuderia Sportiva Colonia has therefore decided to completely overhaul the body and to repaint it in its delivery color "Nocciola". The original material for the interior was also purchased with the help of an Italian specialist and the interior was rebuilt true to the original with the help of Ballas in Cologne. A wooden steering wheel with Dino emblem was ordered from the Nardi company. The engine and transmission were resealed, the electrical system was repaired, the chassis and brake system were restored and a new exhaust system was installed. The tires have also been renewed.

In short: a start clear, very elegant and sporty Fiat Dino 2400 Coupé in perfect condition is waiting for its new owner
