General history of the Ferrari 330

The 330 GT 2+2 was presented to the public for the first time on January 11, 1964 on the occasion of the "Open Day" at the Ferrari factory. The design came from Pininfarina, which also produced the body. The Ferrari 330 is considered by connoisseurs to be the successor to the Ferrari 250. All 330 models use an advanced 4.0 liter V12 engine. The 330 GT 2+2 from the 1st series was only produced 628 times. A very elegant 4-seater sports coupe with an extravagant design, which various artists of its time succumbed to, such as John Lennon.

History of the offered Ferrari 330

The Ferrari Coupé offered here has an extensive history. The engine is matching number. The car was first delivered to South America via Ferrari importer Carlos Kaufmann in the color Bianco 1834 with black leather VM 8500 and Borrain rims. Howard B. bought this sports car on June 17, 1964 and registered it in Venezuela for the first time. His other stations were Japan and the USA, until he acquired a Ferrari collection in Germany in 2008. This vehicle was originally painted white and was later repainted Ferrari Rosso in Japan. Now Scuderia Sportiva will restore this Ferrari to its original color scheme. A very detailed dossier about the history of the vehicle with many invoices, along with a manual and tools, is available. A great report was also made for DSF television about this 330 GT 2+2. The car is substantially in excellent condition. It is absolutely matching, i.e. the gearbox, engine and differential correspond to the first delivery. The interior, i.e. leather and carpets, have a light, authentic patina.

Please still grant order and a 10% down payment about 6 months until final completion. In addition to the body work and repainting in its delivery color, the engine and the gearbox will be completely dismantled and overhauled, new chassis with shock absorbers and overhaul of the brake system with new discs and brake pads are included in the work, as well as the overhaul of the Borraini spoked rims incl. new suitable tires. The front seats are newly upholstered, but the original, slightly patinated leather is refurbished!

The prices for 330 models have increased recently, but we still consider the Chinese Eyes with a comprehensible history to be a “sleeping beauty”
