The BMW 323i with its distinctive double headlights and powerful 6-cylinder engines and over 140 hp were the measure of all things at the end of the 1970s. It is hard to imagine that Alpina could lift the M20 engine from BMW to 173 stable HP with its C1 variant. Of these C1 models, which were either available directly from Alpina at the time or sent as kits to certified BMW / Alpina dealers and installed there, there were only a few models due to the high cost price. 10 Alpina kits were sent to France and installed by the local Alpina importer Garage du Bac. VGS (Viktor Günter from Cologne) contributed the carburetor unit. Other sporty accessories were limited slip differentials, 5-speed sport transmissions, as well as Alpina chassis, Alpina spoilers, Alpina sport seats, Alpina instruments, Alpina rims. In short, an authentic BMW 323 Alpina C1 2.3 built by Garage du Lac in France.
This BMW-Alpina was first delivered to France in its time and is largely in its original condition. Only the bonnet and the mask have been repainted once. In our opinion, according to the last owner, the car is obviously accident-free. It was always lovingly cared for and was in the hands of BMW collectors throughout its life. The KM number read off could by all means be authentic, but we cannot guarantee this, as we lack the stamped service book.
The ultimate chance to acquire an ultra-rare BMW-Alpina C1 in the coveted carburetor version. The high-revving engine in connection with the precise gearbox and the extraordinary chassis in connection with the curb weight of only 1100 kg inspire every ambitious BMW collector. Pure motorsport, still a big cat today.
We have now removed the screwed roll cage that can be seen in the photos.
This BMW Alpina currently has French registration papers.
This extraordinary and fascinating BMW is only handed over to sensible hands.
